Our Story
Castango was founded by Chekesha Van Putten, an award winning Actress, Spokesmodel, and world champion Dancer who has been a professional in the industry for over two decades. Chekesha achieved success appearing in movies such as Austin Powers and American Beauty and national commercials for Pepsi and LVCVA along with being a Los Angeles Laker Girl for two seasons. Based on her first hand experience working as a performer, she identified a huge gap in the talent industry. There was no place online talent could represent themselves to find work and build their career, so she started a business to solve the problem. By bringing companies together with talent via the convenience and reliability of an on-demand platform, Castango was born.
Castango is an online job marketplace connecting Actors, Models, Influencers and Talent with companies hiring nationwide. Castango streamlines the casting process saving time and money utilizing the power of technology so companies can search, hire and pay talent on-demand. Talent can now showcase their skills and portfolio online to search, apply and book jobs gaining control of their career.
